Classy Bee Gifts was established in December 2008 to pursue my passion for creativeness and designing. I have been passionate about transforming my unique ideas into reality since I was a child. I have always been very imaginative and artistic, but it was not until I was expecting my second child that I found inspiration.
I never had the opportunity to have a baby shower when I was pregnant with my first child, so when the opportunity came with my second I was not going to let it pass. I did not want my baby shower to be traditional, I wanted it to be unique and memorable for all of my guests. I was helping with the preparations when I came across the idea of a diaper cake while searching the internet. When I first heard the term diaper cake, I thought it meant a cake shaped like a diaper. Once I actually looked at a few diaper cakes though, I had realized that they had been created with diapers and other baby items. That is when I decided that I want a truly elegant and unique diaper cake as the focal point for my baby shower.
I decided that I would build the diaper cake myself, and it turned out exceptionally. I had joked with my family and friends about establishing a business to share my unique designs with the world, but after realizing the Canadian market was lacking in this area I started to seriously consider it.
After doing some research, I found that United States has some really great baby products, but that Canada seems not to have very many online baby stores. Realizing that Canadians do not have much choice when it comes to ordering high-end handcrafted baby gifts, I decided to launch Classy Bee Gifts.
